Name: Klaarje Busselot
Lives in: Rue Dansaert 196
As a 12-year-old, my 'mummy' went from the pajottenland to the Moutstraat to go to school and she then worked until the Guardini institute moved to Nieuwland in 1995. So I have inherited the love for the Dansaert neighbourhood from her and I am keen to marvel at the beautiful display windows.
I designed a textile collection for MOK. For this collection, I was inspired by coffee (how could it be otherwise?) And the surroundings of the Flemish port. I have, as it were, wanted to capture the vibe of the beginning of the Dansaert district in my collection. You can find the cushions on the sofas at MOK.
Someone had tipped me that at MOK there were only sad cushions at that moment and that it was about time that I changed that with kiiv.
That I could make something for the hip Dansaertstraat would be a dream come true ...
That the collection is received so enthusiastically in this trendy area is a very nice compliment.
When the weather is good for ice cream (and I think that is 300 days a year) then you can find me again at Gaston or Frederic Blondeel. For a nice cup of coffee or toast, I go to MOK.
I start lunch with Charli Salé and finish with Charli sucré!
On Friday evening after work, I often go to the Barbeton with colleagues for a good start to the weekend.
If I need shop therapy, I go to A Suivre where Lorelie takes care of the necessary talk - therapeutic or not - during my shopping.
Grow kiiv with beautiful projects.
That it can remain a place where start-ups get the chance to grow and where there is an eye for craftsmanship and authenticity!
