Young fashion designers from Belgian Schools working with a luxurious Peruvian fiber!
Let's Talk Alpaca is the exhibition of young fashion designers from Belgium schools curated by Frédérick Denis.
This year, twenty-two graduate and post-graduate students from the following Belgian fashion design schools had the opportunity to discover the excellence of this natural fiber from the Andes: l'Ecole Nationale des Arts Visuels de la Cambre Brussels, the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerpen, L'Arba (Brussels Academy of Fine Arts - knitwear master), Saint-Luc Brussels and Chateau Massard Liège. Each student received 3kg of alpaca liber in order to produce one piece of garment for the exhibition. Students were invited to freely combine the alpaca liber with other libers and fabrics in order to express their creativity.
Opening exhibition: 22.02 - 18:30 > 22:00
The Alpaca Award Ceremony: 22.02 - 18:30
The exhibition will take place until February 25th.
The exhibition is enriched by a set of photographies that presents different garments designed by all the participants in Let's Talk Alpaca. Photographies are made in MAD, in collaboration with the Belgian renowned photographer Filip Vanzieleghem. (www.fvanz.com).
